I am an artist and researcher, currently doing a PhD on essaying and artistic practice. By essaying I mean a personal, reflective, resistant, open-ended and exploratory way of being. My inspirations come from a long line of essayists and people who seem to essay, like: Michel de Montaigne, Alexander Kluge, Chris Marker, Harun Farocki, Michael Rakowitz, Maggie Nelson, Brian Dillon, Annie Ernaux, Gordon Hall, Nora Krug, and more. The work presented on this site is all from before my doctorate began. A new site, showing recent work is under construction. View all posts by W P Thomas
